How AI Could Supercharge Progress in Solving Climate Change - Video Clips
Watch the videos of short talks by a dozen top experts as they explain how AI could greatly accelerate progress in clean energy & climate tech
The summer break is giving us a chance to catch up with a post of all the videos from one of our events from the spring on AI’s potential impact on helping solve climate change.
We did publish the essay on all that we learned in that Meeting of the Minds in April and when the text quoted a speaker we linked to the full video of that speaker published on Reinvent Future’s YouTube channel.
But we never put out the Substack post that lays out all the videos from all the talks given by a dozen experts and innovators to answer the key question of the night: How can AI accelerate progress in clean energy and climate tech?
This post is the most in-depth way to absorb all we learned that night in the Shack15 club at the top of the Ferry Building in the heart of San Francisco. With the videos below you can watch each of the speakers make his or her full case from start to finish, in the order that they presented. My introduction to the conversation is in the video above.
Watching all of these videos is the closest thing to actually being in the room that evening. That said, scanning this post in a good way to get a quick overview of who spoke and the gist of what they said in the headlines.
No matter where you live in the world, you can learn about the latest thinking about how AI could supercharge humanity’s effort to solve one of our greatest challenges — global warming.
Everyone should have the opportunity to understand what we are up against, and how AI might help us meet the moment. This event, and the videos, might also give you hope.

Thanks to those whose support makes this ambitious project by Reinvent Futures possible, including the development of all these videos. Our essential partners who make the most difference are BCG X, the tech arm of Boston Consulting Group, and the Shack15 club in the Ferry Building in San Francisco. And then our sponsors Google, Adobe, Writer, Radium and B Capital help with the resources and the networks that bring it all together. We could not do this without you.
Peter- Thanks for sharing these clips. Never thought I’d live in the age of AI but here we are. It’s been a minute since I hear about the F train, so this is a welcomed change, Kathleen. Hope you’re well? Cheers, -Thalia
